The top 10 most visited Rails sites

There are quite a few well-known sites built using Ruby on Rails. Here is the top 10 most visited sites, according to Alexa, as of June 2008:

  1. scribd.com
  2. www.hulu.com
  3. yellowpages.com
  4. www.justin.tv
  5. twitter.com
  6. aboutus.org
  7. penny-arcade.com
  8. kongregate.com
  9. tabelog.com
  10. slideshare.net

The list of all Rails sites is very long and include Friends for sale, iLike, 43 things, A list apart, anything from 37signals (e.g. Backpack, Basecamp), etc. If you’re interested in a comprehensive list, this is what I would call the official directory of all Rails sites out there.

  1. Rails works definitely well for creating < HREF="http://www.digiprof.fr" REL="nofollow">self-training Video on Demand<> websites. Mine currently runs Rails 2.2.2 with PostgreSQL and Nginx+Thin.I hope one day I will be in Alexa’s top rank 😉
